Crazy Skin & Saranghae: Our Love Story

About a month ago, a company called Saranghae reached out to me about trying their products. If you know me then you know, I am always looking for the next best thing.

A good skin care regimen is essential to feeling confident and beautiful. I am a firm believer in embracing one’s natural radiance.

As a young mother, I try to teach my girls how to love their imperfections and to take care of their overall well-being.  Either it be via expression, a piece of clothing, a facial cream or a exclusive trip to the Caribbeans- if it makes me feel beautiful and satisfied I want to share it with the world. So far, Saranghae has really changed the game for me.

Here a Saranghae Love Story began.

About Saranghae

“Saranghae is a award-winning Korean 5-Step Anti-Aging skin care routine that heals, regenerates, and protects your skin. Saranghae’s focus on natural ingredients, highly effective products, and excellence in customer service has helped them become the fastest growing Korean skin care brand in the United States.”

For more information:

Saranghae is a line based around ancient traditions passed down from generation to generation. They are the first company to use Sang Hwang (Phellinus Linteus) mushroom  which holds super powers. They also use many other rare ingredients like Black Truffle, Ginseng and even gold. The entire line has a very unique science behind it.

I got my hands on the complete 5 Step Routine. The routine includes the following:

Saranghae Nourishing + Moisturizing Oil + Foam Cleanser- Retail Price $69

Saranghae Deep Radiance Essence + Serum- Retail Price $99

Saranghae Firm & Lift Regeneration Cream- Retail Price $120

Saranghae Focus Renewal Eye Cream – Retail Price $89

Saranghae Elemental Essence Mask (which I use once a week) – Retail Price $89

The complete bundle (all 5 products full-size) retails for $466 but they offer great deals and VIP member discounts on their website. They do have a current special for $159.

Okay. With that being said, I will give you some insight on my skin. It has been a roller coaster ride the last ten years. I have PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome since the age of 17) and I am sensitive to just about everything with a perfume or fragrance in it. I suffered for years with on and off cystic acne, scarring and redness.

I do currently have it under control excluding monthly hormonal breakouts on my chin. My skin dries out very easy and gets irritated quickly. I have to use extreme caution when using anything on my face and body. I can have a serious reaction to the formula of that specific product.

At first, when I found out about Saranghae, I was a bit iffy because it was not “fragrance-free” and that is something I truly appreciate. After enough research, I decided you know what let’s give it a whirl.

How do I use Saranghae’s Regimen?

I use the Saranghae Nourishing + Moisturizing Oil + Foam Cleanser and Saranghae Deep Radiance Essence + Serum. I use the eye cream depending on how much sleep I got the previous night. I do not use the Regeneration cream in the AM. You definitely can but I need some sun protection. I use my regular mineral SPF 35 or SPF 50 sunscreen. I barely wear make up but if I do it’s only concealer, mascara and some setting powder.

I use the Nourishing + Moisturizing Oil + Foam Cleanser, the Deep Radiance Essence + Serum, the Firm & Lift Regeneration Cream, and their Focus Renewal Eye Cream. I don’t mind having multiple steps at night since that’s my “self-care time” after the kids go to bed.

*Once a week, I will do the Elemental Essence Mask which I find to be super moisturizing. It contains CoQ10 and Hyaluronic Acid. Both ingredients aid in repair and regeneration of skin cells.  After your face feels soft and plump.

With the coming months and the crazy Texas heat, it is very important to cleanse my skin twice a day. The hot weather brings sunscreen, sweating and a greater amount of oil production on your face. This can lead to clogged pores which create obnoxious breakouts. Saranghae does have a Pore Refining Charcoal Mask separately on their website. I want to get my hands on it for the summer months.

I must say I truly enjoy using Saranghae products. The cleanser was great at removing makeup and my sunscreen. Your skin doesn’t feel thirsty after all the impurities are washed away. The serum was interesting but refreshing. You can definitely smell the tea tree oil. The firming cream was not what I expected. It was a thick yet light gel consistency which absorbed quickly into the skin. It didn’t sit on top like some firming creams do.

The eye cream has become my new mommy friend especially for the days where I am totally sleep deprived. It helps reduces swelling, puffiness and even darkness around the eye area. It’s amazing to use before your concealer. It helps your makeup set better under the eye.

Tip: DO NOT RUB, just lightly pat. You don’t even need a entire pump to do both of your eyes. A little goes a very long way.

You can purchase these products individually but I highly recommend to use them together since they kind of work in-sync. I do feel when you buy the bundles, you get more bang for your buck.

After just a few short weeks, I am in love with Saranghae. It is pricey but I don’t mind because I am happy with my results. Saranghae takes care of my concerns. My skin is glowing and smooth. In the beginning, I did have some congestion around my nose area but with consistency it did resolve itself.

I do hope that Saranghae creates more products in the future. I would die for a tinted sunscreen or even acne spot treatment for those occasional stubborn breakouts. I would enjoy more travel-friendly/recyclable containers for those of us with a wanderlust soul.

Make sure you find Saranghae on social media and see for yourself what the buzz is all about:
